About the Author

ahmedAhmed Omar Sheikh graduated from King Abdulaziz University - School of Management and Economics in 1990. He founded and hosted (Dialogue Forum) as the first public open forum dealing with the important Eritrean political and cultural issues. He is published in most newspapers and magazines in Arabic, many Arab satellite channels and Internet sites. Among his many awards, prize in Poetry from the University of King Abdulaziz in 1987 and the first prize allocated to Raimok Eritrean poetry written in Arabic in 1995. Raimok the first prize in the novel in 1997. Award (Eritrean of peace and defense) 1998/1999. He is also the author of Grief of the rain - the novel - Beirut - Dar Al-Fikr - 2001. Dance of birds - poetry - Cairo - The Egyptian General Book 2003. In press: (Eritrea poet - the pulse of the present and visions of the future) - a selection of poetry.
