About the Author Yagoub Adam Saed Al-Nour is a Sudanese author from Darfur. He has written several short stories and poems, as well as two previous novels: Intiqam al-tarida («The revenge of the prey», Damas, 1996) and Al-hulm al-mufaraq wa al-kharif al-murr («The abandoned dream and the bitter autumn», Damas, 1999).
